We are on the lookout for a Quality Test Developer II to join our test automation team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in upholding the quality benchmarks at Lightspeed B2B for our diverse range of products and modules. Your contributions will include developing reusable frameworks and enhancing our internal test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest product quality standards to ensure an optimal user experience for our customers.
  • Participate in daily agile ceremonies, contribute innovative ideas, and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the test automation lead, developers, quality specialists, and product managers.
  • Advocate for superior code quality and ownership while supporting the integrity of our infrastructure.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with your team, continuously seeking improvement and advancement.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in developing automated test scripts using Python, TypeScript, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with automation test frameworks for both Back End and Front End applications.
  • Professional experience with version control systems such as SVN, GIT, Mercurial, or Bazaar.
  • Strong expertise in web automation, particularly with frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright, along with a solid grasp of web technologies including HTTP, REST, and JSON.
  • Experience in API testing using tools like PostMan.
  • Proficient in MacOS, Bash, and MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, Buddy, Bamboo, or CircleCI.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in test planning, issue escalation, and release decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in testing complex database systems.
  • Familiarity with mobile application testing.
  • Experience in scalability, performance, and load testing of cloud-based systems.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and tools such as Google Cloud, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, and testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, Storybook, or Enzyme.
  • Understanding of Payments and Retail terminology and concepts.
