Nursing Care Support Worker Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Support Worker to join our team at Romko Residences LTD. As a Nursing Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and record them accurately.
  • Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines, promoting physical activity and mobility.
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and ordering replacements as needed.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients, promoting personal hygiene and dignity.
  • Transport patients between care facilities, using wheelchair or stretcher as required.
  • Answer call signals, determining patients' needs and responding promptly.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, following established procedures and protocols.
