Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and analyze financial reports to identify trends and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with financial procedures and controls
  • Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables
  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
  • Continually improve the automation of accounting and reporting processes
  • Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
  • Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements
  • Designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with at least 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience and financial reporting
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
  • Highly capable of analyzing financial data and creating accurate reports
  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Notable analytical, quantitative, and social skills
  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
  • Proven ability to work and communicate well with manager-level associates
  • Management reporting experience
  • Month-end Financial experience required
  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience
  • Skilled with ERP systems
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
