Job Overview

TDOT BUILDERS GROUP LTD is seeking a dedicated Framer-Carpenter to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of our construction projects.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
  • Experience: Candidates should have between 1 to 7 months of relevant experience.
Work Environment

The position is based in a construction setting, where teamwork and collaboration are key to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to ascertain project requirements.
  • Prepare layouts in compliance with building regulations, utilizing various measuring instruments.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
Safety and Security

All candidates must be bondable to ensure safety and security on the job site.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
  • Capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads and work under physically demanding conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime and meet tight deadlines.

Employment Details

This is a permanent position requiring approximately 35 hours per week. The primary language of communication in this role is English.
