Job Title: Customs Brokerage Rep III

Job Summary:

This role requires advanced knowledge of entry writing and classification according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS). The successful candidate will participate in government agencies clearances (PGA), Code of Regulations, and Customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare customs entries and forward freight to designated locations, including interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers.
  2. Prepare customs entries and follow-up with the clearance process on all entries prepared.
  3. Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors.
  4. Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations.
  5. Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues.
  6. Scan entries into the imaging system, meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements.
  7. Prepare reports/presentations and analysis using various software packages and databases.
  8. Follow up on documentation discrepancy issues, requiring troubleshooting and effective communication with customers and foreign origins.
  9. Establish and maintain client relationships.
  10. Work a weekend schedule on a department rotation basis and holiday schedule based on operational and account requirements.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience working for a Customs Broker.
  3. Knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations, and other government departments.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  5. Customs Broker License - Preferred.
  6. Accurate and rapid data entry.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
