Senior Practice Manager Job Description

Amazon is seeking a highly experienced Senior Practice Manager to lead our Public Sector IT transformation initiatives. As a key member of our AWS Professional Services team, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of professional services consultants to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute IT transformation strategies for Public Sector clients, leveraging AWS cloud services.
  • Lead a team of consultants to design and implement cloud-based solutions, driving business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Director, VP, C-level executives, and governing boards to capture opportunities and drive engagement.
  • Provide thought leadership and portfolio guidance, working closely with partner teams to envision business development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading consulting verticals with the Canadian Federal Government, Canadian Crown Corporations, or Canadian Provinces.
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting practice leadership, with P&L responsibility.
  • Proven track record of selling and delivering technology consulting services, with a strong understanding of industry IT trends.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, with a proven ability to attract new talent and develop team capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current or former CTO/CIO, Vice President, or consulting firm Partner with experience transforming IT organizations of multi-national enterprises.
  • High-level communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across internal and external organizations.
  • Experience migrating production enterprise applications to Public and Private Cloud.
