Job Title: Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our Project Engineering team at Ontario Power Generation. As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand design inputs and requirements, schedules, finances, and performance for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Design Change Packages, including Modifications, Temporary Modifications, and Non-Identical Component Replacements, in accordance with OPG's Engineering Change Control process.
  • Lead or support conceptual, preliminary, and detail design phases for Design Change Packages.
  • Provide support to field installation, commissioning, and available for service-related activities.
  • Coordinate with different internal and external working groups to ensure successful completion of Design and Procurement Engineering tasks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Nuclear Engineering.
  • 6-10 years of Design experience, preferably in the nuclear sector.
  • Must be a fully licensed engineer in the province of Ontario or eligible to be licensed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and give presentations.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and a strong interest in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
