About the Role

Innovative Medicines Canada is seeking a seasoned government relations professional to join their team as Vice President, Government Relations. This critical role will be responsible for developing and executing a high-impact government relations and stakeholder strategy that positions the association as a thought leader and partner on issues related to healthcare and the industry at large.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy that advances the organization's objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, including ministers, MPs, and senior officials
  • Provide strategic advice to the President and other senior leaders on government relations matters
  • Lead a team of government relations professionals to achieve key objectives
  • Stay up-to-date on key policy issues and developments in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience leading a government relations function and team in a highly regulated organization or industry
  • Strong knowledge of the key players in government and the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
  • Bilingual (English/French) is required
  • Exceptional team and stakeholder leadership ability
  • Demonstrated track record of impact and achievement
