About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Kara Mia Restaurants Markham Inc. as a key member of our kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the tastes and preferences of our customers, while ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Chef Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including food, supplies, and equipment, to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Food Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customers receive a high-quality dining experience.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure seamless service and high-quality food preparation.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and repetitive tasks.
