Job Summary

Lorraine Hydro-Seeding Inc is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Driver to join our team. As a Heavy Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy truck to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring that cargo is properly secured and protected.
  • Route Planning and Navigation: Plan and navigate routes to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and cargo information. Communicate with dispatchers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Safety and Security: Adhere to all safety and security protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the security of cargo.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a Heavy Truck Driver.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Air Brakes Endorsement and a valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Overtime required. Repetitive tasks. Sitting.
