Job Summary

Thoar Mining Management Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Underground Mine Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our underground mine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Operations
    • Develop and implement safe operating procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of mine production staff to achieve production targets and ensure high-quality work.
    • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance and capabilities.
  • Performance Management
    • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize performance.
    • Manage performance issues and develop corrective action plans to address any deficiencies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including management, operations, and maintenance teams.
    • Communicate production plans, progress, and issues to stakeholders to ensure alignment and cooperation.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in underground mine production or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications, such as a valid ticket to supervise underground as per Saskatchewan mine regulations.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to optimize performance.
    • Knowledge of mine safety regulations and procedures.
