Radiologist - Cowichan District Hospital

Job Summary:
Island Health is seeking a full-time Radiologist to join our team at the Cowichan District Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic medical imaging department and contribute to the growth and development of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality radiological services, including CT, US, MRI, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, BMD, and basic interventional procedures.
- Collaborate with a small group of Radiologists to deliver excellent patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Participate in administrative roles and future leadership of the group, including training in CT Cardiac Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and the local community.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
- Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in living and working in the local island community.
Benefits:
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA).
- Relocation cost reimbursements to a maximum of $15,.
- Recruitment incentive $10,
- Fee Premium 4.20%
- Annual flat fee $6,.80
Rural CME:
Rural CME starting at $3,/annum in years 3 &4 increasing to a maximum of $6,/annum after 4 years.
