Resident Experience Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Experience Coordinator (Social Services) to join our team at Nicola Lodge Care Community. This is a permanent full-time position that requires a strong background in social work and experience in long-term care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the resident move-in, transfer, and move-out process, ensuring a seamless experience for residents and their families.
- Provide social work counseling services, working collaboratively with the inter-professional team to assess and develop plans of care that meet residents' psychosocial and social needs.
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate individual social work services and support groups to meet the identified needs of residents and families.
- Support residents and families during advanced care planning and treatment plan conversations, ensuring that their needs are met within the scope of social services.
- Recruit and supervise social work students' placements, providing guidance and support to ensure a successful learning experience.
- Respond to and track feedback received in the resident home area/neighborhood, ensuring that it is addressed in a timely manner and resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Provide reporting and analysis to Leadership and Quality Committee, ensuring that feedback is acted upon and implemented.
- Social Worker registration per provincial legislation.
- Minimum of three years' experience in healthcare, social services, or a related sector.
- Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act and Regulations is preferred.
- Customer service-related experience is an asset.
- Hospitality and/or sales-related experience is an asset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to organize, plan, and delegate responsibilities.
