Job Description

Job Title: Business Consultant – Level 3

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Consultant to join our team at Renaud Consulting IM/IT Solutions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale IM/IT business transformation projects, with a strong focus on analytics-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and vision in the development of integrated architecture, including future-state definition and critical success factors.
  2. Coordinate technical activities with technical and operations staff, including professional engineers and IT specialists.
  3. Oversee the review of business requirements, system requirement specifications, design, testing, implementation, and operations documentation.
  4. Support project teams in the preparation and review of solution-specific architecture and design deliverables.
  5. Participate in planning and communication activities, and provide information and support to implementation and operations-related activities.
  6. Assist in the development and tracking of business requirements, to ensure requirements can be bridged between the architectural design for a solution, and the ongoing operational support for the business system.
  7. Act as the OPI for the implementation of solution deliverables and act as a support OPI for project-related activities.
  8. Advise project leadership and escalate technical and operational challenges related to requirements, design, testing, and deployment of new systems to production state.
  9. Participate in various committees and working groups, and submit monthly reporting schedules for all activities carried out in support of the development and maintenance of the design.
  10. Participate in informal and formal review sessions and document review and comment cycles associated with solution-specific documents.
  11. Lead and/or contribute to Shared Service Canada status updates and Technical Solution Architectural Meetings.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Consultant with large-scale IM/IT business transformation projects.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 10 years conducting business analysis, completing risk analysis, defining project objectives, and meeting with stakeholders and providing detailed progress reports to Senior Management (Director Level or above) on an analytics-based project.
  3. One large-scale project defining and documenting objectives, goals, and deliverables for an operational working environment.

Work Environment:

The Business Consultant will work in the National Capital Region and no traveling will be required outside of meetings within the NCA, if required.
