Job Title: Vehicle Analyst

About the Role:

The BCI Quality Team at RGBSI is seeking a skilled Vehicle Analyst to ensure project quality targets are met, manage launch timelines and deliverables, and facilitate a smooth transition to quality volume production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate product and process design and assembly at the geometric level of the scope entrusted, ensuring quality assurance fixtures management.
  • Participate in the development of the geometric monitoring plan at the assembly line.
  • Converge geometric quality in the industrialization phase prior to volume production.
  • Report component and assembly quality issues, collaborating with design, part conformity, and manufacturing to resolve issues.
  • Analyze quality optimization solutions, define pilots for each issue, and facilitate communication to ensure conformity to BCI KPIs.
  • Conduct analyses, identify quality optimization solutions, and define pilots for each issue.
  • Applicants must be capable of reading part dimensional data and solving interior fit and finish issues.
  • High-level presentations require excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and communication skills.
  • This position leads coordination activities with other company organizations, such as HMI, Corp Quality, SQ, and Perceived Quality, as it relates to Interior Execution.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum of years' experience in automotive areas of Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and/or Product Quality.
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP and Supplier Quality Manual.
  • Statistical data analysis and metrology principles, Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Knowledge of defect resolution, escalation processes, and follow-up.
  • Knowledge of metrology principles and understanding of Statistical analysis and process control.
  • Understanding of vehicle design, assembly, and process control.
  • Understanding of tooling and in-plant processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop an action plan and drive procedures for issue resolution.
  • Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines, and work with cross-functional teams.
