About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Pet Valu. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational and personalized customer service to drive sales and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform cash-related functions, sales processing, and handle general customer inquiries
  • Prepare merchandise orders, banking deposits, and other miscellaneous paperwork
  • Ensure safety standards and procedures are maintained on the sales floor
  • Assist in replenishing and stocking shelves with pet food, supplies, and accessories
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or guest service experience is desirable
  • Ability to provide inspirational and personalized customer service
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs, including openings, closings, and weekends
  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software is desirable
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively without assistance
  • Access to reliable transportation to and from the store
