Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) nurse to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a WOC nurse, you will provide expert care and education to patients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultative services to healthcare professionals for clients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence care needs.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs within the clinical area.
  • Develop and provide educational resources and materials for staff and patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement consistent, standards-based wound, ostomy, and continence care services.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities for assigned client population.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Two years recent, related advanced wound, ostomy, and continence care experience.
  • Successful completion of the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Institute of Canada (NSWOCC) - Wound, Ostomy, Continence Education Program (WOC-EP) or the Wound, Ostomy Continence Nurse Certificate (WOCN).
