About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for our residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the management team and other staff members
- Manage the reception area, including greeting guests, answering phone calls, and handling mail and deliveries
- Assist with the coordination of events and activities, including set-up and tear-down
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including resident census and lost property
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff members
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or delegate
Requirements
- Minimum of grade 12 education required
- Minimum two years experience in a receptionist or clerical role within a hospitality setting is considered an asset
- Basic bookkeeping experience is preferred
- Proven typing and general office administration skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrates a strong ability to problem solve
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Excel)
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
