About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Housing Support Worker to join our Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) Program. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with clients to provide individualized support and wellness planning, helping them maintain their housing, engage with their community, and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide flexible and individualized support to clients in residential congregate living environments
  • Assist clients in developing and achieving their goals, including budgeting and financial management
  • Facilitate access to resources and supports to maximize clients' independence and potential
  • Participate in individual and systemic advocacy initiatives to improve resource access and availability
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in health or social services
  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
  • Experience working with adults with serious mental illness in the community
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Mental Health Act, mental health reform principles, and relevant legislation
  • Ability to apply recovery principles and empowerment-oriented philosophies and practices in work with clients
