About the Role

The Small and Medium Business Modern Work Sales Lead is a critical position within Microsoft's Sales organization, responsible for driving revenue growth and customer acquisition in the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment. This role requires a strong understanding of the SMB market, as well as the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition in the SMB segment.
  • Lead the orchestration and execution of SMB growth plans, ensuring alignment with Microsoft's overall business strategy.
  • Manage SMB investments in the Canada area, ensuring optimal return on investment (ROI) and spend.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Business Group Leaderships, Marketing, and One Commercial Partner, to develop business strategies and determine optimal routes to market for achieving revenue targets.
  • Facilitate collaboration across a v-team of internal cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve sales revenue and drive business transformation.
  • Develop expertise in the local partner ecosystem across customer segments to help identify opportunities to improve sales revenue.
  • Share local market insights, leveraging SMB assets, local market expertise, marketing campaigns, and competitive insights to identify opportunities and customer plays that drive revenue growth and customer adds.
  • Manage SMB segment growth and the expansion of cloud-based solutions offerings within local markets.
  • Evaluate customer and/or partner program performance across a local market to predict the likelihood of sustained or increased returns.
  • Establish a rhythm of business to share this information with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meet with internal and/or external stakeholders as needed to gain buy-in and alignment on plans.
