About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Healthteam Holdings. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order and Maintain Stock: Ensure the timely and accurate ordering and maintenance of pharmaceutical supplies, including inventory management and stock control.
  • Customer Service: Provide expert advice to customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  • Prescription Management: Verify prescriptions for proper dosage and ensure accurate dispensing of medication.
  • Compounding and Dispensing: Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by accurately calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients.
  • Medication Profiles: Maintain accurate medication profiles for customers, including records of poisons, narcotics, and controlled substances.
  • Storage and Distribution: Ensure the safe and efficient storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, technicians, and staff members.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate the labeling, packaging, and advertising of drug products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold current certifications from the Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada and licensure from provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Security and Safety: Maintain up-to-date immunization records, undergo regular criminal record checks, and be eligible for professional liability insurance.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, or kneeling.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, organization, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
