Senior DevOps Engineer Job Description

The Senior DevOps Engineer is a key role within our Technology team, responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs. This position requires strong Java background and expertise in DevOps practices.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Release Management: Develop and manage releases, collaborating with relevant teams to collect tasks assessments and approvals. Perform release activities to ensure smooth deployment.
  • Development & Deployment: Set up and maintain component build and deployment processes in VM and cloud environments. Automate and optimize common deployment tasks to increase efficiency.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance & L3 Support: Ensure the infrastructure's stability, scalability, and security by maintaining its components, including cloud-based solutions. Provide L3 support when necessary.
  • Cybersecurity: Monitor, diagnose, and resolve security issues in a timely and high-quality manner. Propose solutions to prevent security breaches.
  • Integration: Create and present integration POCs to evaluate new technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
  • Proficient in Java, Maven, Spring Boot – minimum 4 years;
  • Linux shell scripting– minimum 3 years;
  • System administration and OS core understanding – 5 years
  • Cloud: RedHat OpenShift – 2+ years;
  • DevOps tools: Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy – 3+ years
  • System scheduling: Autosys, Control-M – 2+ years
  • RDBMS: Oracle, PostGresSQL – 3+ years
  • Atlassian JIRA & Confluence, MS Office, ServiceNow – 3+ years

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
