Position Overview

As a Home Support Worker at CareGivers Inc., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients in their own residences. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing essential personal care and companionship to individuals who require assistance.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

You will be working in the comfort of the employer's or client's home, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Launder clothing and household linens as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Assist with shopping for food and household supplies.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
Certifications Required
  • Certificate of Conduct.
  • First Aid Certificate.
Specialized Experience

Experience working with special needs children, particularly those with autism, is highly valued.

Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check is mandatory.
  • References are required.
  • Immunization records and a tuberculosis test must be provided.
  • A vulnerable sector check is necessary.
Transportation Requirements

Having your own transportation is essential for this role.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Willingness to engage in repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Work Conditions
