About the Role

The Facilities Operations Manager is a key member of the BGIS team, responsible for delivering high-quality facilities management services to our clients. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire a team of technicians to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the facilities management team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
  • Manage customer relationships, responding to service requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of company assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve facilities management processes.

Requirements

  • College diploma or certification in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance.
  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in a facilities management role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade certification or license in one or more of the following: Journeyman level Refrigeration license, Gasfitter I or II license, Journeyman level Electrical license, Journeyman level Plumbing license, Industrial Mechanic, Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Power Engineering 3rd Class.
