Position Overview

As a Recycling Materials Sorter at Blue Mountain Plastics, you will play a crucial role in the efficient processing of recyclable materials. Your responsibilities will include sorting, packing, and preparing materials for further processing.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing and industrial plant where you may encounter:

  • Odours
  • Dusty conditions
  • Noisy surroundings
Key Responsibilities
  • Sort, pack, crate, and package various materials and products.
  • Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other team members.
  • Perform general labor and basic tasks as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that product quality meets established standards.
  • Adhere to safety regulations at all times.
Physical Requirements

This role involves:

  • Working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Handling heavy loads, up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Working under pressure.
