Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a Snow Plow Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo unit plow, performing snow removal on local roads and highways as per contract requirements. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, such as fuel reports and safety reports, and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a combo unit plow to perform snow removal on local roads and highways
  • Maintain accurate documentation, such as fuel reports and safety reports
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, as winter events require
  • Work in extreme weather conditions

Requirements

  • DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
  • Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties, such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment maintenance
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, as winter events require
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
