The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating network security risks, implementing effective controls, and ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the network and security teams to assess network risks and vulnerabilities, and implement effective mitigations and safeguards.
  2. Review and provide recommendations on network architecture and design to ensure alignment with Fundserv's security objectives.
  3. Monitor network traffic to identify security events and provide timely mitigations to minimize impact.
  4. Manage and configure network security devices, including NGFW, IDS/IPS, WAF, ACLs, and NSGs.
  5. Work with project teams to understand scope and provide security requirements to reduce risk.
  6. Proactively identify potential security risks and develop comprehensive security requirements and controls to address and mitigate these risks.
Requirements
  1. Conduct vulnerability assessments using industry tools to identify vulnerabilities in the environment and assist in remediation of findings.
  2. Familiarity with and practical experience in implementing security protocols like SSL/TLS, SSH, and IPsec.
  3. Working knowledge of network monitoring tools to capture and analyze packets to identify anomalies, intrusions, and security breaches.
  4. Proficiency in industry-standard tools used for routing, switching, and network security, specifically Cisco and Fortinet.
  5. Ability to create, follow, and enforce rules and procedures to keep networks secure and protected from threats.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Security and network certifications like CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, or other relevant certifications.
  2. Automation experience with Python or PowerShell.
