Role Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Tech Lead to join our team, responsible for crafting the digital face of Cohere and providing clear and engaging content that showcases our technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining go-to resources for anyone wanting to understand or build with Cohere products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop user-facing products that deliver delightful experiences for our users.
  • Own and build robust services-oriented web experiences that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Improve our data analytics pipelines to measure SEO effectiveness and help marketing automate lead generation.
  • Manage a small team of software engineers and mentor them to grow their skills and expertise.
  • Identify and remove roadblocks that hinder team progress, ensuring engineering velocity and building resilient systems.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience writing clean backend code, with a strong understanding of Typescript, React, Golang, and Python.
  • Proven track record of shipping fast and snappy web apps loved by users.
  • Familiarity with SEO and data analytics, with a focus on bringing value to users.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and concise explanations for complex technical concepts.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and motivation to scale a company, with experience as a founding engineer or tech lead.
