Emergency Medicine Specialist

Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Emergency Physician to join our team. As an Emergency Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and Treat Patients: Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
- Prescribe Medication and Treatment: Prescribe medication and treatment plans to patients as needed.
- Collaborate with Other Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, technicians, and specialists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Medical Knowledge: Stay current with the latest medical knowledge and advancements in emergency medicine.
- Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
- Work Setting: Experience working in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Certifications and Licenses: A Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II) are required. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are also required.
