About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team at Jung Mi Hong as a Home Child Care Provider. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This role involves working in the employer's home, providing care and support to children in a safe and healthy environment.
  • Tasks: Your responsibilities will include:
    • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and development.
    • Instructing children in personal hygiene and social development, helping them to grow and thrive.
    • Keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding children, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
    • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
    • Preparing and serving nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and well-being.
    • Supervising and caring for children, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
    • Taking children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
Certifications and Requirements
  • Certifications: A valid CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate are required.
  • Security and Safety: You must be bondable and undergo a criminal record check.
  • Work Terms: This is a permanent position, requiring a commitment to working 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
