Pharmacy Technician Student Opportunity

Sobeys Inc., a leading Canadian company, is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician Student to join our dispensary team at Central Fill Pharmacy in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with blister packing using a VBM machine
  • Operate computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
  • Order supplies and drugs
  • Maintain and count inventory
  • Receive, load, and unload deliveries
  • Answer phone inquiries
  • Prepare, pre-pack, assemble, and label medicines
  • Perform general cleaning and housekeeping
  • Refer problems or queries to the pharmacist
Requirements:
  • Enrolled to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience with Sobeys National Pharmacy Group Computer systems, comfort level working with Kroll software preferred
  • Above average communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as collaborate within a team
