We are seeking a part-time French and English teacher/tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. in Niagara Falls, ON.

About the Role

This position involves working directly with students as an interactive coach, teaching up to three students at a time at different levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum

Work Schedule

The position requires a commitment to work during after-school and evening hours, at least twice per week, Monday to Thursday (3:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturday mornings (9:00am - 12:00pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred.

This is an in-person role, and you must be able to commute to the location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
