Position Overview:

We are in search of a proficient Business Analyst to contribute to our IT M&A Strategy division. The selected individual will be instrumental during the due diligence process, concentrating on financial governance and the establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for IT M&A initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in crafting impactful presentations and converting intricate data into actionable insights for executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Due Diligence Analysis
    • Conduct thorough assessments of the target organization's structure, including roles, responsibilities, and retention risks for essential IT personnel.
    • Utilize extensive knowledge to pinpoint potential cost synergies and savings avenues.
    • Examine the target's IT budget, current spending, and future financial obligations to ensure alignment with WSP's business goals.
    • Facilitate due diligence across various workstreams, making decisions on moderately complex matters to guarantee a comprehensive risk and integration evaluation.
  • Data Insights and Analysis
    • Evaluate IT M&A performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
    • Identify patterns, risks, and opportunities, employing advanced concepts to formulate actionable insights and recommendations that enhance IT integration processes.
  • Financial Management and Oversight
    • Assist in managing the IT M&A budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and constraints. Conduct in-depth cost analyses to regulate expenditures.
    • Prepare and deliver financial reports to senior management, emphasizing key financial indicators and insights.
    • Establish and uphold robust financial controls to ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards.
    • Support internal and external audits related to IT M&A efforts, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • KPI Development and Monitoring
    • Assist in the formulation and tracking of KPIs associated with IT M&A activities.
    • Analyze KPI data to evaluate the success of IT integration and identify improvement areas.
    • Provide regular KPI reports and dashboards to senior management.
    • Independently enhance KPI tracking methodologies and reporting processes.
  • Reporting and Presentation
    • Create Impactful Presentations :
      • Develop high-quality presentations that effectively convey complex data and strategic insights to executive stakeholders.
      • Ensure presentations are visually appealing, concise, and tailored to the audience's requirements.
    • Visual Data Representation:
      • Convert complex data sets and analyses into clear, engaging visual formats, including charts, graphs, and infographics.
      • Employ storytelling techniques to present data in a manner that underscores key insights and supports strategic recommendations.
  • Strategic Contributions
    • Assist in the development and implementation of IT M&A strategies and plans.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of IT M&A activities with overarching business objectives.
    • Prepare strategic documents, reports, and proposals.
    • Determine methods and approaches for projects and establish personal work priorities to achieve objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives
    • Continuously refine KPI tracking methodologies and reporting processes.
    • Stay informed on industry best practices and trends in IT M&A.
    • Independently resolve most issues and complex matters, requiring advanced analytical skills, training, and/or education.
    • Proactively address challenges within the scope of responsibility.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in an IT M&A capacity, with a strong emphasis on KPI development/tracking, financial modeling, and strategy.
  • Certifications such as: Business Analyst (CBAP), Project Management (PMP), or M&A (CMAP) are considered advantageous.
  • Exceptional capabilities in creating and delivering impactful presentations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with M&A integration projects in a large, global organization.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
