Job Title: Homeless Information System Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Homeless Information System Trainer. As a key member of our Data Services team, you will be responsible for providing training and support to users of our Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for HIFIS users, including shelter operators and their staff, as well as Regional staff.
  • Coordinate the collection and reporting of data from HIFIS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with federal government staff to provide software training, technical support, and data validation.
  • Analyze and report on HIFIS aggregate data and trends, identifying areas for improvement and developing community data reports.
  • Prepare statistical fact sheets and report cards based on HIFIS data, including demographic information.
  • Participate in the optimization of HIFIS, ensuring it meets the needs of our users.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including shelter operators, Regional staff, and community partners, to promote HIFIS and provide support.
Requirements:
  • Community College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of experience designing and delivering adult training/education in a social services environment, or demonstrated experience supporting a technical application.
  • Valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license and a reliable vehicle for corporate business.
  • Knowledge of corporate core competencies, including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, accountability, flexibility, and adaptability.
