Position Overview

As a Personal Care Assistant at Judy Barbour, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This permanent position requires a commitment of 30 hours per week and offers a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care including assistance with bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Administer medications and monitor client health.
  • Assist clients with mobility and regular exercise.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and laundry.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Care for pets as needed.
Work Environment

The role is set in a non-smoking home environment located in a rural area. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis, although this is not a condition of employment. Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, patience, honesty, and ability to work as a team player.
Security and Safety

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal record check and provide references.

Physical Requirements

This position involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
