Position Title: Financial Operations Manager

Employment Type: Full-time; Temporary (1-Year Term)

Overview:
The Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344 is seeking a dedicated Financial Operations Manager. This role reports directly to the Director of Financial and IT Services and encompasses a range of advanced financial management, budgeting, and reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Apply accounting principles and methodologies to assess intricate financial data.
2. Prepare precise and timely financial reports and statements.
3. Ensure the implementation of appropriate financial control measures.
4. Oversee the administration and execution of various financial functions.
5. Supervise and guide the finance team under the direction of the Director of Financial Services and IT.

Independent Judgment:
The incumbent will exercise significant independent judgment in planning and executing tasks, necessitating the ability to meet stringent deadlines, prioritize effectively, conduct complex financial analyses, and provide professional counsel to stakeholders including the public, staff, management, and Council.

Qualifications:
- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA).
- Supervisory skills or leadership training.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive and diversified accounting experience, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable processes.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in an accounting setting.
- Experience in municipal or public sector accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Tempest and Vadim software programs for municipalities is an asset.
