Technical Support Engineer

Connect Tech Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will work closely with customers, design engineers, software developers, and sales/manufacturing departments to provide technical support and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and solutions to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Work closely with design engineers, software developers, and sales/manufacturing departments to ensure seamless product support.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical notes, and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and products to provide expert technical support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of computer bus and interconnection standards, including PCI Express, PCI, USB, SATA, CAN, I2C, SPI, RS-232/485.
  • Experience working with C, Python, and associated compilers in a Linux OS environment.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux L4T/Ubuntu/Fedora/Debian/RHEL and Windows 10 (down to XP).
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Additional Assets:
  • Experience with QNX, Android, or other embedded type operating systems.
  • Knowledge of low-level networking protocols, including TCP, UDP, and higher-level protocols such as FTP, Telnet, SNMP, SNTP.
  • Customer Support/Service experience.
