Job Title: Dietary Aide/Food Service Worker

We are seeking a qualified Dietary Aide to join our dynamic team at Southbridge Owen Sound. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.
  • Assist cooks with food preparation and cleaning.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Participate in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food.
  • Adhere to established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Food Service Worker Program or enrollment in a program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Previous dietary experience in a long-term care home preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Ability to read and write English and understand simple verbal and written instructions.
