The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registration/Scheduling Clerk to join our Health Information Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the timely registration and processing of patients, as well as the scheduling of physician clinic time. Your duties will include accurately entering patient information into our electronic health record system, completing various health forms and consents, and assisting with quality audits and corrections. You will also be responsible for liaising with various departments within the health centre, receiving and relaying messages via phone and fax, and maintaining supplies. Additionally, you will be required to train new staff as needed and perform other related duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter patient information into Meditech
  • Complete various health forms and consents as required
  • Assist with quality audits and/or corrections
  • Liaise with various departments within the health centre
  • Receive and relay messages via phone and fax
  • Maintain supplies
  • Train new staff as required
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a recognized business/secretarial program an asset
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Demonstrated accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, time management, interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset
