Waste Management Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Treatment Supervisor to join our team at Covanta. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of employees to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our Material Processing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve operational excellence and meet or exceed financial and performance goals.
- Coordinate and communicate all phases of operations, including receiving and shipping loads and processing materials.
- Ensure all preventative maintenance obligations are consistently met and the facility is audit-ready.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with other Reworld locations to provide support to our sales team, operations, and clients.
- Analyze facility budget and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement, and identify areas for cost reductions and program improvements.
- Manage employee performance, mentor, and guide the overall growth of the facility.
- Assist in pursuing facility growth opportunities and develop methods and solutions to make them feasible.
- Ensure accurate recording of data in the Management System.
- Operate the facility in a manner that protects the health and safety of employees and visitors, and maximizes financial return received by Covanta.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related industry.
- Extensive leadership and team-building skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to analyze information and suggest improvements.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills.
- Background in waste management, environmental regulations, laboratory analysis, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
