About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Expert to join our team at Don Diego's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that food is prepared and served safely and to the highest quality standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment to ensure that we have the resources needed to operate efficiently.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers.
  • Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets to meet the needs of our customers.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Disability Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Veteran Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Mature Worker Support: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
