Emil Anderson Equipment is seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join its team in West Kelowna, BC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a variety of heavy equipment, including loaders, dozers, excavators, and dump trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical equipment to identify damage, defects, or wear;
  • Perform service repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance;
  • Replace and/or repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts;
  • Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of work completed;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with heavy equipment and machinery;
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude;
  • Valid motor vehicles inspector license and BC driver's license with air endorsement;
  • Comfortable assisting apprentices in learning and developing their skills in the trade;
  • Previous experience working as a Service Technician or other related experience with heavy equipment is considered an asset;
  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal) or equivalent experience is considered an asset;
  • CVIP License is considered an asset.

Emil Anderson Equipment offers competitive wages and benefits, as well as a challenging and rewarding work environment.

Compensation:

$38-$45/hr

The wage range for this position will be discussed during the interview stage.
