About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts Inc. and contribute to the development of our iconic games, including the Battlefield franchise.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Art teams to provide technical support and act as a liaison between Art and other departments.
  • Establish and maintain best practices, quality standards, and pipelines to ensure efficient development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and processes to overcome production challenges.
  • Troubleshoot artist issues with tools and art creation workflows.
  • Work with engineers to implement features and test them before main production.
  • Advocate for the department's goals and needs, removing roadblocks and raising red flags as necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with members in other departments to ensure a smooth working experience.
  • Provide guidance on technical performance constraints, maintain assets, and help define asset budgets.
  • Contribute to project-level discussions and promote an inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the games industry as an artist, with some time in Technical Art.
  • Expertise in 3D and 2D software packages, such as Maya, Photoshop, and Zbrush.
  • Strong understanding of pipelines and asset optimization techniques.
  • Ability to own challenging issues and find practical solutions.
  • Experience with game engines and art integration, as well as corresponding technical restraints.
  • Ability to address game performance and optimization.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for game development and a growth mindset.
