Cashier Job Description

Veer Zara Fashions Ltd. is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
  • Scan items and calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
  • Suggestive selling and provide product recommendations to customers
  • Wrap or place merchandise in bags and provide a positive shopping experience
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
