About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Yard Associate to join our team at J.D. Irving, Limited. As a Yard Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Display Maintenance: Organize and maintain product displays, including promotional signage and price labels, to ensure a visually appealing and easy-to-shop environment.
  • Inventory Management: Load, unload, replenish, and restock various areas to maintain an efficient and organized inventory system.
  • Order Fulfillment: Process orders accurately and efficiently, following proper procedures and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on new products and services, providing customers with expert advice and recommendations.
  • Team Support: Assist as needed with tasks such as cashiering in the Gatehouse to help cover breaks.

Requirements:

  • Safety Mindset: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outside in variable temperatures and weather conditions, as well as perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Availability: Willingness to work part-time hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
