Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the HR team, you will:

  • Collaborate with management to provide expert advice on a variety of employee and labor relations matters, including workplace investigations and performance management.
  • Guide managers through legislative, policy, and collective agreement interpretations, assisting in conflict mediation and identifying core challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives, facilitating effective dispute resolution processes.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Advocate for business unit needs to enhance Total Rewards and Talent Management programs.
  • Lead discussions on employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure compliance with HR processes and regulatory requirements to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Support growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, particularly in unionized settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience in mediation, coaching, and conducting investigations is advantageous.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
