Position Summary:

We are a premier custom steel fabricator and erector with over 13 years of industry expertise. Our dedicated team of skilled welders possesses the necessary qualifications to manage a diverse array of welding assignments, ranging from detailed fabrications to extensive installations.


Role Responsibilities:

The Lead Project Coordinator will be responsible for directing and supervising all facets of structural steel fabrication and installation initiatives, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budgetary constraints, and upholding the highest quality benchmarks.

This position demands a highly experienced individual with a robust background in project coordination, structural steel production, and installation, capable of guiding a team of proficient professionals while liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Oversee the precise implementation of Burkebro's sales agreements, which includes defining project scope, managing modifications, adhering to timelines, and ensuring timely client payments—all while safeguarding project profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams as part of a skills-based group to promptly meet customer needs, thereby minimizing project risks.
  • Maintain open communication with Burkebro's clients regarding delivery schedules and manage customer expectations throughout the order fulfillment and installation phases.
  • Handle multiple projects from order initiation to completion (including post-delivery support) by monitoring milestones, fostering teamwork, and proactively engaging with team members.
  • Facilitate the establishment of project scope, objectives, and deliverables by meticulously reviewing project details for accuracy, completeness, and feasibility (including thorough assessments of contracts, approval drawings, and modifications).
  • Implement and supervise project modifications and interventions to ensure milestones are achieved and desired results are realized.
  • Identify potential challenges and proactively mitigate risks to enable all departments to take preventive measures.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Ensure that customer project specifications are fulfilled on schedule, achieving optimal outcomes for Burkebro by thoroughly understanding the project and timeline.
  • Lead the team in developing and executing strategies to mitigate project risks by prioritizing tasks and collaborating with all Burkebro departments.
  • Effectively manage all customer inquiries, issues, modifications, additional charges, and costs.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Project Management.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional skills in managing relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Basic drafting capabilities, including proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A comprehensive understanding of steel construction and installation processes, as well as construction management (including site work, tendering, contracts, specifications, etc.).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including tolerances, capabilities, and Quality Management.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing workloads and minimizing risks through effective time management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
