Your Responsibilities:

As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will deliver healthcare services to individuals of all ages in their residences and various community settings throughout Nova Scotia.

  1. Management of diabetes
  2. Dialysis support
  3. Medication oversight
  4. Palliative care provision
  5. Phlebotomy services
  6. Wound care, including advanced therapies for complex cases
  7. And much more

Qualifications:

  1. Must hold a valid license as a Practical Nurse in the relevant province
  2. Experience in community health is advantageous
  3. A valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle are essential
  4. A current and original satisfactory Criminal Records Check is mandatory, along with a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check if required
  5. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is necessary

Working Conditions:

This position demands a meticulous approach in a fast-paced environment, involving physical activities such as lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that require good body mechanics. Individuals in this role will need to walk, sit, stand, and navigate stairs throughout the day, with certain tasks necessitating fine motor skills.
