HR Operations Specialist

Position Overview:
PART-TIME
We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to manage various HR functions and initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in recruitment, employee engagement, program oversight, and organizational development. Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute HR strategies that align with the broader organizational goals.
- Leverage HRIS platforms such as Workday, Kronos, Dayforce, and ADP for streamlined workforce management.
- Act as a key member of the management team, reporting directly to the General Manager.
- Oversee the administration of recruitment, separations, personnel documentation, legal compliance, compensation, and onboarding processes.
- Assist the Joint Health & Safety Committee in its initiatives.
- Manage the development and enforcement of personnel policies, pay structures, and employee training programs focused on safety, health, and morale.
- Lead recruitment initiatives by sourcing, interviewing, and selecting high-caliber candidates.
- Address employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Facilitate change management efforts to support the growth of the organization.
- Supervise program management related to training, development, and performance assessments.
IATF Specific Duties:
- Organizational Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on the performance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement.
- Ensure the integrity of the QMS is upheld.
- Review and approve documentation for relevance and accuracy.
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following:
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Insurance Board disability management.
- Ability to interpret and enforce legal and safety regulations in accordance with current Provincial & Federal laws.
- Capability to establish and maintain policies and procedures for the effective management of the organization and the HR department.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Effective time management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager or in a comparable position.
- Comprehensive understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in talent acquisition, change management, program oversight, and employee relations.
