About the Role

Vestas is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician I to join our team in Medicine Hat, Alberta. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled service, fault analysis, and troubleshooting on wind turbines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled service and maintenance on wind turbines
  • Conduct fault analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces, exposed to varying weather conditions
  • Collaborate with a team of 2-3 technicians to complete tasks and achieve goals
  • Travel to other sites as needed to support operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of wind energy experience or a wind certificate
  • Transferable experience in agricultural, mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work
  • Safety-focused mindset and positive attitude
  • Ability to identify solutions to issues through process of elimination
